POEMS WRITTEN BY CHILDREN JOINING IN THE POETRY WORKSHOP AT TRENTHAM GARDENS
TRENTHAM GARDENS

Tigger is bouncy
Runs all around looking for me
Eeyore was building his house that’s
Not very big
Then they join Pooh for a taste of his
Honey – sticky and sweet
Adventures galore – they’re sure to be back for
More

By Bella Duffy ( nearly 4)

TRENTHAM GARDENS

Tiny Tornado
Running through the grass and
Exciting all the wildlife
Now you see her now you don’t
Testing Mum’s patience and
Hiding in the trees, then
Antagonising fairies and
Making memories

by Kitty Barton( aged 3) and family

TRENTHAM GARDENS

Tent blue blue
River flowing through
Elephant squirting water
Never catching you
Time racing by as I lay down
Happy and brown
And playground
Must be summer

by Hugo Mifflin ( aged 6)
Scooters
Scooters swoopin through the park
with batman bells as loud as larks
Picnics, walks and sandy plays
Sarnies wilting in the haze

by Henry Hills ( aged 4)

TRENTHAM GARDENS

Top of the tops
Rock of the rocks
Egg of the eggs
Nocky of nocky
Table of tables
Hoses of posies
Apple of apples
Mop of mops

by Siena Mifflin ( aged 4)
